WEHS COMES DOWN

Time marches on. West End High School was demolished in early 2009 after serving West End and surrounding communities for 78 years. The school was opened in 1930 and officially closed in 2008. Here are some links to the history of West End High School.

JOIN THE "WEST END GIRLS"

In 2002, when Kay Forrester hosted the first West End Girls Lunch Bunch, she couldn't have imagined that it would still be going strong in 2010! The West End Girls have met over 50 times at various venues. To rub elbows and have fun with your friends at the next event, contact Kay at kkbbarnes@gmail.com. For details and photos, visit Lunch Bunch.

HAVE FUN WITH THE "MAGIC CITY BOPPERS"

The Magic City Boppers were formed in 1990 to preserve the "The Bop" that we grew up with and has become a way to "reclaim" our youth. A weekly dance is held every Wednesday night at Bar 31 from 7pm 'til 10pm. A monthly party is held on the third Friday night of month at Firefighter's Hall on Oxmoor Circle in B'ham.  In addition, every year since its formation, The Magic City Boppers have a "Hang-Out Weekend" at Panama City Beach in May. For details, contact Kaye Tyler Fulbright at 205-902-7117 or kfulbright@outlook.com.
